I chose this book based on both its title and cover. As I gazed at the cover, being a book lover, the title seemed to whisper, “Choose me, read me.” And so I did.
Short Synopsis: Nora, a cut-throat literary agent at the pinnacle of her career, lives and breathes books.
Charlie, an editor with the knack for crafting bestsellers, is Nora’s professional rival.
You see, my life revolves around work, family, coffee, books, and plants. So, inevitably, this book found its way into my hands.

The book starts with, “When books are your life, or in my case, your job, you become adept at predicting where the story is headed (isn’t that the truth?).”
Nora gets into the world of literary tropes, which fills me with joy.
Reading this book felt like conversing with a friend about our shared love for books. We discussed what we adored and what we didn’t, and it was truly refreshing.
It’s a slow-burning, urban-to-small-town romance, complete with the classic enemies-to-lovers trope.
The story and the writing style simply resonated with me. The banter between Charlie and Nora brought a smile to my face.

Here are a few favorite quotes:
“That’s the thing about women. There’s no one right way to be one.”
“There are too many books in the world and not enough time.”
“Honesty upfront is always better than being led astray.”
“Is there anything better than iced coffee and a bookstore on a rainy day?”
“Daily life may be predictable, but the bookstore remains a constant.”
“For those seeking it all, may you find something that is more than enough.” ️
I recommend this if you are into reading something soft. Inspiring. Sibling relations and getting things done!
Until next time,
Jane 🙂
