Tomorrow I Become a Woman by Aiwanose Odafen

I have mixed emotions about this book! It made my blood boil. It made me laugh. It made me sad. This is a well-written book about friendship, marriage, grief, and womanhood. It is a sad book, but also very fast-paced. I woke up last night just to finish it because I couldn’t help myself! I…

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus | Book Thoughts

This book took me the longest time to finish this year—a whole three whole weeks. I don’t know, maybe it was just a reading slump, but this book was worth it. All 386 pages were worth it. The book tells the story of Elizabeth Zott, a chemist in the 1960s. Imagine being a chemist when…

Book Lovers by Emily Henry | Book thoughts

I chose this book based on both its title and cover. As I gazed at the cover, being a book lover, the title seemed to whisper, “Choose me, read me.” And so I did. Short Synopsis: Nora, a cut-throat literary agent at the pinnacle of her career, lives and breathes books.Charlie, an editor with the…

Daisy Jones and the Six | ✨️Book thoughts✨️📚

#DaisyJonesandthesix: I really enjoyed this book. It was flowing so easily… I felt like I was part of the conversation that was happening throughout… Daisy was complex and soft and broken and just human… the chemistry between Billy and Daisy was spectacular even though it was wrong.  Camila was that voice of reason. And she…

I think what unsettled me most about The Stranger I think what unsettled me most about The Stranger is how little Meursault performs for others.

He does not pretend to feel what he does not feel. He does not say things simply because they are expected.

And somehow, that honesty becomes disturbing to everyone around him.

Perhaps we are more attached to how things should look than we realise. To the right words, the right emotions, the right reactions.

We learn them. We repeat them. And over time, they begin to feel like truth.

And sometimes, we don’t question it.

Also, see a lineup of books I am reading and loving. Between Friends and Lovers has my whole heart ❤️ (review coming soon)
